It's 2021 and if you thought the weirdness was over, you were as wrong as apple pie.
Recently it was revealed Manny Pacquiao and "King" Ryan Garciaare in negotiations for some manner of ritualistic combat, which came as a bit of a surprise to many in boxing.
On this episode of the Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio podcast, boxing historian Patrick Connor and author/filmmaker Brin-Jonathan Butler join forces to talk about a possible Pacquiao-Garcia fight, answer some fan questions and a little bit more.

Knockdowns are a fun aspect of boxing. As long as you're not the fighter being knocked down.
Through history, many fighters have had the unfortunate distinction of being known for hitting the deck, and some fights became particularly famous because of how many knockdowns happened.
On this episode of the Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio podcast, Patrick Connor and Aris Pina team up to talk fight history once more, and knockdowns are on the menu.

If a heavyweight champion is to truly clean out the division, that means we're bound to see a few wonky defenses here and there. But where does Kubrat Pulev, who faces Anthony Joshua this weekend, rank among the pantheon of poor heavyweight title challengers?
On this episode of the Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio podcast, Patrick Connor and Aris Pina join forces to discuss some truly bad heavyweight title challengers.
From the early 1900s and into the 2000s, nobody is safe.

So how about that Snoop Dogg?
Mike Tyson's exhibition with Roy Jones, Jr. on Triller was surprisingly fun. The whole "exhibition" aspect of it threw a lot of people for a loop, so we had to talk with former junior lightweight champion Steve "2 Pound" Forbes, since he recently fought an exhibition and brings his own fight experience.
Forbes talked about Tyson-Jones and what could be coming to Portland boxing in 2021, and Patrick Connor went on to recap Joe Joyce vs Daniel Dubois, Daniel Jacobs vs Gabriel Rosado and Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr.'s...thing.

Welp. Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones is happening regardless of how anyone feels about it, so we may as well get something out of it.
In our case, that means reaching back a few years to remember exhibitions from fight history.
On this episode of the Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio podcast, Patrick Connor and Aris Pina join forces to briefly preview Tyson-Jones before discussing famous and not-so-famous exhibitions from boxing history.

Well, Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones, Jr. is happening, we guess. We think?
Look, we're not even sure what Tyson-Jones even is, but you can be sure we previewed it.
Author and filmmaker Brin-Jonathan Butler, a regular Knuckles and Gloves co-host, has spent time with both Tyson and Jones, thus capable of offering unique insight into how both legendary fighters operate.
On this episode Brin teamed up with fight historian Patrick Connor to offer up a wry, honest preview of the fight. Just don't get mad.

The Knuckles and Gloves podcast has been around for more than seven years, albeit with a few name changes. We just love talking boxing.
After a prolonged hiatus, boxing is back. Devin Haney cruised to a decision victory over Yuriorkis Gamboa, Luis Ortiz kind of bombed out Alexander Flores and Layla McCarter also came back from a while away from the ring. And this weekend Terence Crawford takes on Kell Brook.
Aris Pina and Patrick Connor tackle it all, plus a live reaction to the WBC announcement of a "Bridgerweight" division.

After a huge boxing weekend like the one we just had, we had to have a special guest drop in.
Gervonta "Tank" Davis scored a huge KO of Leo Santa Cruz at 130 pounds, and former 130-pound champion Steve "2 Pound" Forbes joined Patrick Connor in offering his take on the Showtime PPV win and Naoya Inoue's victory on ESPN. We'll call this "2 Pound's 2 Cents."
Don't worry, there's some recapping of Oleksandr Usyk's win over Dereck Chisora and Jaime Munguia's win over Tureano Johnson too.

A brief glance at boxing's pay structure makes it seem like a great way to make a quick buck. The problem is, it's really not.
Boxing's history is littered with the carcasses those who tried to dabble in boxing promotion and management and failed for one reason or another. For some, the failure wasn't necessarily their fault and came about through sheer back luck. Others might have had bad karma repaid.
On this episode of the Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio podcast, boxing historian Patrick Connor and Compubox operator Aris Pina remember many of the people who tried their hand at promoting or managing in boxing and didn't quite have the staying power.

The year is closing out so strong they're making it tough to complain about what a wreck the rest has been.
There's Chocolatito Gonzalez's win over Israel Gonzales and Juan Francisco Estrada's win over Carlos Cuadras last weekend, and then Naoya Inoue, Oleksandr Usyk, Gervonta Davis and Jaime Munguia are all featured this weekend. It's sickening. In a good way.
On this episode of the Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio podcast, Patrick Connor breaks down last weekend's action and offers up brief previews of everything this weekend.
